1. Developer Identity & Commitment
This Privacy Policy governs the Jeply Player application created by Jeply Studio. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and security. Our application is designed to function strictly as a client-side offline media player and gallery manager, ensuring your data remains entirely yours.
2. Zero Collection of Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
We do not require user accounts, email registration, profile creation, or social sign-ins to operate Jeply Player. We absolutely do NOT collect, harvest, record, store, or transmit any Personal Identifiable Information (PII), such as your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or device-specific hardware IDs.
3. Core Purpose: Media File Management & Storage Access
Our app's core purpose is to function as a comprehensive Media Player and Gallery viewer. To fulfill this, Jeply Player requires standard media access permissions:
- For Android 14 and above: READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, and READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED permissions. The READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED permission enables partial photo/video access on Android 14+, allowing users to grant access to only selected files.
- For Android 13: READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, and READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permissions.
- For Android 12 and below: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
This allows users to browse, manage, organize, view, and play media files (videos, music, and images) located on the device's storage. Your files are processed strictly on-device. We DO NOT collect, upload, share, or transmit any user files or personal data to external servers.
4. Complete Offline Integrity & Local Persistence
Your playlists, playback history, audio configurations, bookmark points, loop preferences, and custom clips are stored locally on your device within a secured, sandboxed SQLite/Room database. There is no background synchronization, network upload, or cloud backup. Uninstalling the application immediately and permanently deletes all related configurations and metadata from your device.
5. INTERNET Permission Declaration
Jeply Player declares the INTERNET permission in its manifest. This permission is used solely by internal image-loading libraries (such as Coil) to resolve content URIs and load locally-referenced media thumbnails. The app does NOT establish any outbound network connections to remote servers, does NOT transmit user data, and does NOT download or stream any content from the internet. No user data leaves your device at any time.
6. Zero Third-Party Advertising and Telemetry Trackers
Our codebase contains no ad networks, tracking scripts, behavioral analytics, telemetry SDKs, or background synchronization services. We do not track what you play, how long you listen, or how you interact with the app. Jeply is 100% free of invasive digital profiling.
7. Global Compliance (GDPR, CCPA & COPPA)
- GDPR (EU): Since we do not collect, process, or transmit personal data, we adhere to the maximum data protection standards by design. Users possess full control over their local data, which can be wiped at any time by clearing app storage.
- CCPA (California): We do not sell, trade, or distribute your data, as zero data is collected.
- COPPA & Families Policy: We do not target children under the age of 13, and our offline architecture is completely safe for families and compliant with Google Play Store Policies.
8. Policy Modifications
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect any platform changes. The 'Last Updated' date at the bottom of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the application indicates your agreement with the updated policy.
